(TOTBID)

RESOLUTION

At the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (TOTBID) held on 15 March 2008, the request submitted by orthopedic surgeons specializing in arthroplasty to establish a sub-specialty society under TOTBID was evaluated. It was resolved to approve the establishment of the “Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Association (KADAD)” as a sub-specialty working group affiliated with TOTBID.

The founding members of KADAD, established in 2008, set out with the mission of advancing hip and knee arthroplasty surgery in Turkey through scientific exchange, education, and professional solidarity.

Since its establishment, the association has organized national arthroplasty congresses, basic and advanced arthroplasty courses, cadaver training programs, regional meetings, and webinars. It has also supported academic publications and international collaborations in the field.
